Welcome to PABSON Kathmandu Metro

PABSON Kathmandu Metro Committee is pleased to announce the formal launch of its official website, designed to streamline communication and disseminate vital information to all stakeholders.

Our Commitment

Established in Kathmandu, PABSON KTM Metro was inspired by the need for greater transparency in educational outcomes and better resource accessibility for students and educators across Nepal.

The PABSON Kathmandu Metro is a professional non-governmental organization as a local level wing of the central PABSON (Private Boarding Schools’ Association Nepal) committee. The central PABSON committee was established in 1991 and grown into one of the largest professional associations of institutional schools of Nepal. After the establishment of new governance structures in Nepal under federalism in 2017, this organization also amended its act and started a three- layered structure to provide good service. As a result, the three units were established to implement the federalization for national, regional and local governance of education system. Based on this provision, the PABSON Metro Committee was founded from the first convention held in 2018 (15th Mansir, 2075). Since its inception, it has been discharging its duties well. Approximately, 80.61 percent (5-17 age) of the total students in the Kathmandu Metro area attend private schools. This organization plays a significant role in the educational landscape, representing 305 member schools affiliated to PABSON. These institutions are primarily registered as companies and are exclusively funded by educational entrepreneurs and student fees.

As a common platform, the committee encourages member schools to share, care, and grow together while enhancing the quality of education. It aims to be a highly reliable and responsible local-level representative of the Central PABSON Committee, playing a pivotal role in achieving its targeted objectives. Furthermore, the committee undertakes the responsibility to safeguard the professional rights of investors, principals, teachers, and non-teaching staff. We serve as an official channel for information from the Metro Education Office and higher PABSON bodies and the committee provides expert advice and ideas on burning issues relating to basic and higher-level education. Beyond advocacy, the committee contributes to curriculum design, syllabus preparation, pedagogy, and assessment systems. We also remain committed to holistic development by organizing effective ECA and CCA activities, providing specialized training, and administering standardized tests for formative and summative evaluation to assess academic prowess and theoretical knowledges of the students.

Message from President

Dear Members,
I am delighted to officially announce the launch of the PABSON Metro website, designed to provide essential information to all our stakeholders. I believe this platform will strengthen our association and play a pivotal role in helping our district, province, and central committees achieve our organizational objectives.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our former chairmen, Mr. Murari Prakash Sanjel and Mr. Gyan Bahadur Shrestha, for their significant contributions to bring the organization in this position initiatively. Similarly, I want to thank the current committee members for their rigorous efforts; this website is the result of an enormous collective achievement.
Our goal is to keep you updated on our activities and professional services. I reaffirm my commitment to our mission: safeguarding and developing the professional rights of investors, principals, teachers, and non-teaching staff. Together, we will meet the expectations of all our stakeholders.
Finally, I thank all members of PABSON Metro for your support and active participation. This milestone would not have been possible without the strength of our member schools.

Yours sincerely,
Gagan Singh Air
Chairman of PABSOM Kathmandu Metro Committee.
